You’ve heard all the Desi visa horror stories. Whether it was your friend who was stranded at a connecting airport or your relative who had to cancel their honeymoon abroad, it’s no secret that the Indian passport or H1b visa can make travel tricky. The visa requirement for Indian nationals for many countries is not easy to find. Many visas need prep ahead of time and involve fees.

But did you know that for those of us with a student, work or business visa from the US, UK, or Australia can travel to some countries completely visa-free? 

From Asia to Europe to countless countries in Latin America, read on to learn about all the amazing countries that Indians can visit hassle-free on a US Visa.

  • Visiting Cuba is a bit complicated but achievable. US citizens are prohibited to travel to Cuba for tourism purposes.
  • You need a tourist card if you wish to travel on a US visa. Other option is to just get a Cuba tourist visa directly(highly receommended given the volatility of US-Cuba relations)
  • How to get a tourist card:
    • Easy Tourist Card.(Pink or Green depending on where you fly in from. May not apply anymore)
    • From the airline on your last leg to Cuba. Fees apply(May not apply anymore)

  • Obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 30 days.

No visa required to visit the US territories since these are part of the continental United States. These are:

  • AMERICAN SAMOA– Known for its rich rainforests and uncharted Pacific waters
  • GUAM – A strategic location for America positioned to be close to Asia. Known for historic battles of the second world war
  • PUERTO RICO– Oldest European settlement in the US. Majestic waterfacing fortifications and colorful houses
  • US VIRGIN ISLANDS– Extraordinary natural forests with white sand beaches and coral reefs. Also famous for the petroglyph

BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA

  • Citizens of the countries with whom Bosnia and Herzegovina has a visa regime, may enter Bosnia and Herzegovina with passport, without the obligation to obtain a visa for entry, exit, transit and stay on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina upto 30 days only if they have a valid multiple entry visa or residence permit issued by the signatory countries of the Schengen Agreement, the EU member states or the United States of America.
